I wrote a song for you
You said you liked it
Though it was cheesy
As love songs often are
But you had no faith
In me as a lover
And you'd get into
Anybody's car

I wrote a song
Just 'cause I had to
Words and tunes were sweating
Out from every pore
You seemed so happy
In the music
And you would always
Ask for more

The music deep
